shed organization

I got around to tidying up our storage shed this afternoon (it's a little challenging because there is very little shelving, so I kinda just made paths so that everything is accessible) while Jay spent some time up on the mountain. He saw a bobcat! But he didn't shoot it, of course, because we don't kill kitties around here.

We went to Kingsport earlier to get some goodies for Bonnie, and now she's all decked out with a new harness, tag, and heaven help us, a dog coat. She didn't seem to mind the car ride as much as we thought and was happy to stroll through Pet Smart for a little socializing.

She didn't deserve any of this because she pooped and peed in the house last night, which is why we also bought a tie down and made her spend some time in the sunshine, where she finally managed to take care of business OUTSIDE. She will learn to do this outside instead of inside or else learn to like sleeping in the shed.

I did some basic obedience training with her and took her and Clyde Dog on two no-pull walks around our core property. By the end of the day, I felt comfortable having her off leash.

All in all, it was a great day. Except for when Jay got a speeding ticket on the way home from Kingsport. We thought the Virginia state trooper might let us off the hook once Clyde Dog demanded some attention from him, but I guess even a sweet, snuggly St. Bernard won't get you out of a ticket. He did almost forget some of the paperwork, though, because "I got distracted because I was looking at your dog and forgot about it". His exact words.
