weeding the future wildflower beds

I originally thought that I would create "islands" of wildflowers scattered among our future vegetable beds, and I might still do that, but I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone today by also dedicating the areas bordering the small cabin to wildflowers, which will help attract lovely little pollinators as well as hopefully make it easier for Jay to mow by creating a nice, rounded edges in the grass.

Bonnie "helped".

This tree appears to be dead and not just because it's almost winter. It looked like this when we got here in early August. I'm not sure what it is or what ailed it, but as a result, it will likely become some sort of fencing at some point -- or maybe a pole for a string of lights. Or something.

Shithead, er, I mean Bonnie. We have some behavioral issues to address with her. But look how cute.
